Storyline

Plot Summary:It all started when a bunch of commandos (including Jackie of course) kidnapped three scientist who were studying very powerful meteorite fragments. The mission was a success – until one of their superiors double crossed them. The commandos were then killed in a chopper crash, except Jackie who fell out of the chopper. After that, Jackie was picked up by a a tribe of South African Indians, who then asked him his name. Sadly, Jackie had lost his memory and shouted ‘Who Am I?!’ which led the Indians to think that it was his name. So he started learning their cultures and customs, while also trying to pick up their language. Later, he started having memories of things that happened before the crash, and he decided to leave the Indians in search for his identity…

The one who just liked me is majorly depressed, and hasn’t tried to kill himself, but wants to. I know because he tells me. I don’t have any weird emotional problems, I go to church, I’m in the marching band, I teach CCD, I’m a high-school Girl Scout, I’m not having sex til I’m married, I’m second in my class, I don’t drink or smoke, etc- basically I’m a stereotype, cookie-cutter small-town American 17-year-old girl. (Obviously, not quite- I also love world music, travelling, and a bunch of random stuf, like watching foreign documentaries and foreign relations, but for the sake of simplicity, we’ll go with my first impression.) I don’t know why nearly all of the boys I’ve dated get so weird- they all seem perfectly normal when I first meet them, and they’re pretty differnt guys! Can anyone shed any light on this?? Any questions you ask I’ll be totally honest about- I just want to know why!

Is Y!A like the perfect example of life on a smaller scale?
Because like in Y!A there are many people from all over the globe so thats like Earth. There are good people, rude people, bad people, small people, tall people, etc. *you get the point* Because we come from different places we tend to clash in some areas. Cultural differences.. As Sting once sang "We share the same biology, regardless of ideology". Even though he meant it in a different way then i do now, it shows that while as humans we may look alike, where we are born is what decides our idealogy and this is shown on Y!A. Also there is a problem with people trying to silence others when they hear something they dont like or dont believe in. If you say the truth on Y!A and if that truth isnt liked by some people, it will get deleted however innocent the question. In the real world, if someone speaks out.. a politician, journalist, etc., and someone doesnt like it.. they will get silenced! A perfect example would be journalists in Russia who were killed because they spoke the truth and someone powerful did not like it. Or the killing of great people such as Abraham Lincoln or Martin Luther King Jr. Even Galileo in his own time was almost silenced by the Church! Anyways i can go on like this forever but i think you get my point.

What color should I dye my hair? pics included?
Well, being the idiot I am I told my friend that if she got 80 people in a facebook group dedicated to this, I’ll dye it any color. Well, four hours of day time and there are 90 people in it. They want to dye it green or tiger striped or something like that, and I’m not a HUGE fan of either (though they sound kinda cool). I have a feeling I could get away with any color I’d like, so someone pick a color. I’ve never dyed my hair before, and I have no idea what I’m supposed to do. I finally got the courage to tell my bf and his mom b.c I am terrified of my mom. They are on their way to my house and then they are going to help me tell my mom. Plot Summary:Sam and Molly are a very happy couple and deeply in love. Walking back to their new apartment after a night out at the theatre, they encounter a thief in a dark alley, and Sam is murdered. Well, I watched Ginger Snaps. It’s a great horror movie but there are things I don’t understand. Like, at the end of part 2, Brigitte gets locked away in a basement of a little girl called ghost, who’s a crazy chick that’s addicted to comic books. And then in part 3, Ginger and Brigitte live 200 years earlier then in part 2. Where the hell is this story going?!?!? I know the basic story. Part 1, Ginger gets bitten by a werewolf and gets killed by her sister in the end. Part 2, Brigitte(Ginger’s Sister) is becoming a werewolf herself and is locked up in some kind of home for crazy people and drug addictes. She meets a girl named Ghost, who traps Brigitte in the end in a basement with sticks that penetrate her. Part 3, is a prequel. Ginger and Brigitte live 200 years earlier then in part 2 and Ginger has the werewolf problem again, and there is something about a curse and indiaans bla bla bla… Anyway, what I want to know is, what happend to Brigitte in part 2, and why do they live in the middle ages in part 3?

Difficulty finishing Lord of The Rings?
I am now towards the end of LOTR: The Two Towers, and I have to admit…I’ve been having a lot of trouble really getting into the book, or even the series in general. I was a huge fan of "The Hobbit," but I think Tolkien goes overboard with detail in the trilogy. I can certainly appreciate J.R.R. Tolkien’s ability to describe a scene and paint and picture, but enough is enough. Am I the only one who has had trouble getting through the series??

Aragorn and Arwen’s first meeting, a scene from the movie, where can I find it?
In the Lord of the Rings, the Two Towers, apparently, there is an extended scene that was barely previewed in the teaser trailer, with Aragorn without a beard, supposedly meeting Arwen for the first time. I have found so much information in text, but I would like help to where the scene is. It’s not yet on youtube, but if someone could tell me where it is? It must be somewhere, otherwise it wouldn’t be in the category of extended scenes, and so many texts have written it, especially wikipedia, but I would really like to see the scene. Thankyou.

Storyline

Plot Summary:An ancient Ring thought lost for centuries has been found, and through a strange twist in fate has been given to a small Hobbit named Frodo. When Gandalf discovers the Ring is in fact the One Ring of the Dark Lord Sauron, Frodo must make an epic quest to the Cracks of Doom in order to destroy it! However he does not go alone. He is joined by Gandalf, Legolas the elf, Gimli the Dwarf, Aragorn, Boromir and his three Hobbit friends Merry, Pippin and Samwise. Through mountains, snow, darkness, forests, rivers and plains, facing evil and danger at every corner the Fellowship of the Ring must go. Their quest to destroy the One Ring is the only hope for the end of the Dark Lords reign!

When does Legolas come into the Lord of the Rings?
I’m reading The Fellowship of the Ring by J R R Tolkien, and I’ve heard of the movies and seen part of one but I’m wondering when (what chapter, after what event…) he comes into the story.

Is this story any good (i’m not asking about how well i described what happened)?
It was the perfect setting for what was about to happen. I was on his bed with him; it was the only place for me to sit down. We were in his room. We had been hanging out with each other for a while, which was kind of awkward usually – I wasn’t sure if we were friends. We mostly just laughed together.
We went places… here, there, walked around, knew a few things about each other. We watched a movie that included the subject of homosexuality… the context that the subject was brought up in was the amusing sort, in a way. That movie was mostly about cultures, life, & death. Another time, we watched the movie "Lord Of The Rings" together… I didn’t mention how I had a secret crush on the guy elf. I thought he was cute. (I was worried about being laughed at.) I’m not sure if it was about fantasy & reality or not. … we slept over at each other’s homes a few times… it was sort of like we were just discussing intellectual things with our friendship. Maybe we were just ignoring how we felt bad by being in each other’s company.
… the funny sort of "Fellowship" issues, maybe? Eventually, we were watching another movie alone together. I was sitting up on his bed. We were watching the movie "The Beach".
It seemed like a fitting movie choice… when we hung out together, there was usually someone else with us… a mutual friend. It was like getting away from that issue. Being friends that weren’t sure if we’d be friends without a mutual one. So, I’m not sure what it meant. I really like the guy, I think. He’s funny, usually. (yeah, it got weird) During the movie, he put his head on my lap. He unzipped my pants.

Elven Brooch from The Lord of the Rings?
Okay, here’s my problem. My sister’s birthday is in a couple months, but I thought I’d get going on it early. I know what I want to get her. One of those Elven Brooches from The Lord of the Rings. You know, the silver leaf that the Fellowship wears? My problem though is I have to find it online somewhere (Ebay yeah?) and I don’t want to get something cheapy or flimsy or such. Lord of the rings: The fellowship of the ring *Spoilers* Amon Hen scene?
as I have said major spoilers for the movie and book so read on at your own discression. I am wondering the scene on the movie when boromir is getting shot and fighting, there is a statue behind him in the scene, does this symbolise anything or is it not important and is it in the book?

I am about to order The Lord of the Rings Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition DVD set online at Fred Meyer, and I want it to be in widescreen format. However, the description didn’t specify whether it’s widescreen or fullscreen. Is the extended version only available in widescreen? If so, then that’s good news for me!

Plot Summary:John LeCarre’s spy thriller is brought to the big screen. A British spy (Pierce Brosnan) is banished to Panama after having an affair with an ambassador’s mistress. Once there he makes connection with a local tailor (Geoffrey Rush) with a nefarious past and connections to all of the top political and gangster figures in Panama. The tailor also has a wife (Jamie Lee Curtis), who works for the Panamanian president and a huge debt. The mission is to learn what the President intends to do with the Panama Canal. But what the two do is concoct a tremendous fictional tale about former mercenaries who are ready to topple the current government and are willing to work with Britain and the US to do so.

Did anyone else see this story in the NY Times Sunday paper on China imports of industrial glycerin?
Sunday there was a front page article about a tailor in China who decided to make some quick cash by manufacturing industrial glycerin and selling it as food grade glycerin. It was sold thru several buyers and each one took the previous seller off the label listing (so they could not buy it directly and save money). It got to several countries (two chinese companies also sell it on the internet as food grade glycerin)…it got to Panama and was labeled as 100% pure glycerin..company there made it into cough syrup and people drank it and their kidneys failed and they died in droves (also has a side effect of paralysis of the face like Guillain Barre syndrome only worse…they had a hard time tracing it..The chinese government arrested the tailor (only because some people in china died from the cough syrup, but the chinese govt. refused to stop or arrest the other two companies because they were "making and exporting industrial grade glycerin, not food grade"..still selling it on the net

Plot Summary:Navy SEAL Lieutenant A.K. The traffic was at its busiest and the sun was high in the sky glistening as it touches the ground making it look like a brand new piece of glass. As Anita left her house she felt the hot sun hit her eyes and she had to cover them with both her hands. As she slowly removed her hands away from her face, her eyes quickly adjusted to the brightness and all she could see was the fountain over the road spewing water out like a firemanвЂ™s hose because the kids from across the street had broken it not a few days earlier. Anita stepped down from her door and turned slowly to face Barlow lane. Barlow lane was the busiest road in the whole of New York City, there were shops as far the as AnitaвЂ™s slowly adjusting eyes (getting used to the sun still) could see, and buildings as old as New York itself. Anita walked for ages down Barlow lane and only stopped a few times to peer in a few shops and see what they were selling, but she didnвЂ™t buy anything because she didnвЂ™t have enough money for any of the stuff in the shops. She thought to herself that maybe on the way back she might buy a little something for that night, maybe a bottle of wine and some chocolates. But of course she didnвЂ™t know she wasnвЂ™t to return that night, or even never again. вЂњAnita!!!вЂќ someone shouted from behind her, Anita turned quickly, to see that it was her friend from her old job (she worked as a primary school dinner lady before she worked at Twinkie & co). Barbara had long brown hair and wore the most hideous green jumpers you could imagine but of course Anita has always stayed in touch and close friends to her. вЂњHow have you beenвЂќ Barbara said in her high pitched voice. вЂњI am fine, you?вЂќ as she said that Barbara bust into tears on the very spot. вЂњwhatвЂ™s the matter, WHATS THE MATTER!!!вЂќ shouted Anita and as she did, everybodyвЂ™s head turned and people swarmed all around them, making a big fuss and as Anita tried her hardest to keep a hold of Barbara she couldnвЂ™t, the crowd were pulling her away so Anita left thinking shell be alright and so she set off. After a short while of walking Anita looked back, but there was no crowd, no Barbara, no fuss, she thought whatвЂ™s going on so she pinched herself to check if she was not dreaming, she gave an вЂњouchвЂќ and she had no idea what had happened. Anita looked down at her watch and she saw that it was 10:50 and she had to be in work by 11:00 вЂ“ she had already been late for work 4 times that week вЂ“ so she decided to take a short cut down an old alley which she knew very well and walked down plenty of times on the way back home from work. Anita stepped into the alley slowly and put on her long, black coat so shield off the cold. The alley was dark and cold like a winters snowy night, and there were rats scurrying all about the place and the stench from the sewers was horrendous. As one of the rats scurried over AnitaвЂ™s feet she jumped and screamed but didnвЂ™t run away. Anita walked on further into the alley, and the further she went in the darker it became. As Anita turned down one of the sharp corners, she saw that it was a dead end and she thought to herself that this was never here before and maybe she came down the wrong alley. As she turned around to go back to Barlow lane she was confronted with a wall, right in front of her which was as tall as the surrounding buildings and filled the whole alleys width, but that wasnвЂ™t there before, thatвЂ™s just were she walked. As she walked down the alley her feet were making squelching and squishing sounds as she walked over small puddles of water which came from the broken pipes at either side of the alley. The rats were no-where to be seen. Anita looked quickly at her watch and it was 11:00 which means now she is late for work, so she hurried up her pace. Each step Anita took the lamppost that was in front of her started to get further and further away from her and the sky was turning a murky grey colour and becoming darker and darker. Anita turned around to look into the dark empty space that was behind and put her hands in her pockets because they were turning into ice. Then suddenly a very loud BANG came from behind her, which made her jump and turn around as quickly as she did before hand. She looked around to see if there was anyone or anything there that could have made the bang, but there was nothing there. Then suddenly a dark, tall and mysterious figure immerged from the dark in front of her. Anita shouted вЂњHello, who are youвЂќ but there was no answer. The only facial features Anita could make out were the bright blue eyes looking straight at her in a threatening way. After a short while, the tall figure made a sharp movement with his hands which made him look as though he was clapping violently but there was no clapping sound coming from his hands. I saw a video once on YouTube that was about the Suzaku Seven (from Fushigi Yugi, if you know Fushigi Yugi) and the song used was "We Are One" from the Lion King 3.

Sport Day is coming up, so we’re having rehearsal every morning with the sun bright. So, I’m marching and marching. I don’t want to, and when we stop, my "friends" asked me to line up in front as they want to be together with their friends. That time, I feel, like, throwing a temper, I wanna shout, and I’m about to cry. Yes, tears came out. Second, I’m doing homework, there’s a problem I don’t understand and I feel like something piled on top of me for a bit. Is the first and second feeling called stress? People barely saw sunshine or the starry sky. The handsome windows of rich mansions and the dirty ones of not-so-rich flats were so foggy that one could not see past them. Even in fast moving cities of the West like Teward City and Ozvizzle, the roads were still and lifeless. And no one, not even experts could understand the reason beyond all this. And there was one more thing that was mysterious: somehow everything was ultimately connected to the Paradisian War between the Malfadian Group called Shadows of Alfed and the Perthernian Army, even though it was being thousands of kilometres away, across the Dark Sea.
Though no one had foreseen, the Paradisian War turned out to be one of the bloodiest wars in the history of the entire world. Deaths followed deaths. Thousands had already fled to the East, and a few to the West.
Malfadia was simply a dry desert spread over a vast area. Hardly any water was found on the surface. People had to go hungry for days. Life wasnвЂ™t easy.
Perthern was quite different. Though the north was dry, but the rest of the land was pleasant, green and beautiful. And people were much more relaxed and comfortable.
The war began when a few Malfadians attacked Perthern for what they called вЂa better lifeвЂ™. But their motives were not all that good.
On the seventeenth of May, Teward City saw the usual cold morning. The roads were deserted, but for a group of three people.
All but one of them were in their late twenties, and were wizards. The other was ages old since he was an Ark. And even the folklores said that Arks do not die until they are murdered on a full moon night. The truth was so.
One of the wizards, Milan was thin, tall and fair-complexioned. His hair and eyes were both black. The other, called Noveur was as different from Milan as he could be: short, plump and balding.

The Ark, like any other of its kind was tall, thin and pale. There wasnвЂ™t a drop of blood in him, except in his eyes, which were a deep shade of red. He seemed to be radiating a kind of chill around him. He was called Enestus.
All three of them were dressed in a Robeur, a popular clothing amongst Magicians. The Robeur was something like a trouser clumsily attached to a cloak.

The two men and the Ark entered to find a shabby and dim-lit interior, despite the fact that the sun was up. The walls were battered and spiders had found a good home in the building.
A loud voice echoed throughout the building, as though coming from the building itself.

The three obeyed. Taking the staircase to the extreme left, which was as battered and shabby as the rest of the building, the three of them reached the top floor.
The top floor was quite different from the rest of the building. It was fairly lit. Every inch of the walls seemed brand new and untouched. A huge arch stood in the middle, not for any purpose, but just to be there. The rest was just door and doors, all of them made of oak. A symbol, which resembled a key to some extent, was engraved on each of these doors.

Chapter 13: Finally Figuring Out the Key to Happiness Saya’s eyes got large as she looked over in a distant opening where the sun’s rays were hitting. She got up and grabbed her bag and swung it over her shoulder. вЂњI’ll be back, I swear there’s something that I have to go get over in that opening. Stay here, but first let me get some dang clothes on.вЂќ Saya interrupted, unsnapping the hook off her bag and grabbing her pen and colored pencils. Valen looked at her oddly as she grabbed the pen and started to draw an outline of a black tank top, a pair of green plaid shorts, and metal, chunky boots. Saya then whipped out a pair of shades that looked like they came from the movie The Men in Black. She walked a few inches away from Valen then turned her head slowly, вЂњI’ll be back!вЂќ then continued walking to her destination. Valen laughed and watched her, but in his mind promised himself he’d protect her at all times so, when she wasn’t watching he followed her. Where Saya walked was a deep forest shrine, no not like the witches place, but a peaceful sanctuary with chirping birds of many kinds and plants not normal for the human eye can see. Saya walked deeper into the shrine making sure she was careful at where she ventured. She didn’t know she was being followed by sweet, kind Valen though. Saya could hear the many chirps of the wild beautiful birds, some came flying down on her and perched on her shoulder as she walked, some even sat on her head. The shrine was beautiful, and there was a small pond on top of the shrine which was quite odd for it looked like it was levitating! Saya was looking at this and pondered where am I? She continued to ponder about it, then she heard a loud cry. Not a cry for help, but a cry like a huge animal screech from deep down from inside it’s bossom. This a cry coming from behind many of bushes in the forest, which now started to look like a huge jungle of trees, rare plants, and many different looking berries to pick from, but which some were very deadly or just had some bad case of the craps or bad migrains and other sick stuff. Saya dared not to touch them so, she stayed far from them. Valen walked up behind Saya and as she turned around he scared the crap out of her! вЂњOh, that was a good one, man!вЂќ she tried to give him a high-five, but he obliviously didn’t know what it was. Saya took her shades off and put them into her bag and they were off to venture deeper into the forest shrine. Valen got closer to Saya’s side and grasped her hand tightly. вЂњWe have to stay together.вЂќ Valen said, staring at her Saya nodded then remember Brom Jr! вЂњOh my goodness! What about Brom?вЂќ she exclaimed, looking at him worriedly. Valen laughed and smiled at her. вЂњHe’s fine. Marlon got to the door and knocked, he waited in the fading light and knocked again and opened the solid door. вЂњDevвЂќ he called, but there was no response, Malibu the grey cat rubbed against MarlonвЂ™s leg and meowed, and the old fat tabby, Cyclops, lay over the armchair in the corner, the room was dim and cozy books and bottles were stacked everywhere.
Marlon stepped back and shut the door figuring that Dev must be on the back side of the barrack, making his way around the building he could hear the trucks on the highway nearby. There was no sign of Dev behind the barracks. Marlon decided that Dev must have decided to stay out longer because of the conditions, but that was not like him he was an early morning person. The beach was deserted and DevвЂ™s usual spots were free of people, the emptiness seemed unusual, but Marlon continued up the small sand dune, brushing through the tall grass on his way towards the hillcrest where he could see the jetty that wrapped around on the other side of the hill.
It was then that he first saw it, just a white speck in the twilight, but it caught his eye. He moved closer to the speck and he could make out its form. It was the front end of a surf board, bits of fiber glass chipped and broken. It was his; the one Dev had borrowed the day before.
MarlonвЂ™s heard began to beat faster and he hurried to the edge of the jetty. After wadding through the rocks he picked up the nose of the board, and brought it back to the beach.
He flipped open his cell phone and dialed DevвЂ™s number, he got the house answering machine. He tried again but in more haste. Nobody answered; Marlon was scared he pocketed the phone and ran back up to the top of the bluff. And tried to force his eyes to see into the dim light. But he could see nothing it was as if it was blind.
He could only imagine where dev might be, was he wounded, was he alright or could he be dead? It was early dawn when they found the rest of the board, the search team and several neighbors had started a search after Marlon had called the police. The rest of the board was down past the harbor mouth, wedge between two rocks. It had a broken leash and there was no body found near it. The team was tired and had given up hope.
The next morning Marlon got up at 5 and began to search more, tears blurred his vision because he knew that Dev was gone, there was no hope of finding him alive. The sunrise was pale and seemed to give no warmth. There was still some mystery surrounding his disappearance, had he fallen from a wave, or did he lose his board in the white water, and die from the rocks. Or was he still alive drifting far away, or maybe on some lonely beachвЂ¦Marlon would never know
As the day continued, Marlon returned to his shack and sat in the yard, he stared at the sun and how it reflected on the bay, He knew that even though he would never see Dev again, he was in a better place, he wanted to see assign to know that his friend was ok, but he knew that was as hopeless as finding the body. Marlon picked up the broken shards of the board that had been found the night before, and placed them in front of him, trying to fit the pieces together, as he did this he noticed a deep scratch that ran along the tale end of the board, it may have been the light but it looked like a D. how do i wean ball pythons from live to f/t?
so… my landlord found out i have pets. and he’s told me that if i don’t get rid of them, he’s gonna kick me out. and while technically, that’s so terribly illegal, it’s a whole non-leased immirgrant under the table thing, so he can legally invent whatever other reason to kick me out as much as for the rats. i’m not gonna get rid of my snakes yet, cause they are my babies, but the rats freaking stink, so he tends to notice those. so how do i train my ball pythons to start eating frozen thawed, after they’ve been eating live natals their whole year long life? preferably without starving them. one of them is already a massivly annoying picky eater.

my hamster’s wheel stinks…?

OK, so here’s the deal. I am 27 years old, am not gay, never had a g/f in my entire life. Oh yeah, and at age 18 I went into the Marine Corps and got out at age 23. Life in the UK test and the IRL process?
I am about to take the Life in the UK test, and should i pass i’ll be sending off my ILR papers. The only problem is, that its taken us up to now to get the money (Joy trying to save the almost ВЈ900 needed when trying to pay for a 1yr olds juice-a-holic habit as well) Its now the 19th, i take the test on the 20th and my visa expires on the 23rd. Will this count against me? Also, i really stink taking tests, Has anyone taken the Life in the UK test recently? any hints on what kind of questions they ask? How can i make my bunny not smell so bad?!?!!?
I recently got a pet bunny, he is fairly young and lives in a cage in my small bedroom. He was born on Valentines Day this year and is a male dwarf bunny. My friend who gave me the bunny said that he was potty trained and for some reason he still goes everywhere in his cage (aka she lied). Anyway he smells really terrible and he stinks up our entire single family home? My mother is really starting to get upset and she says that if I don’t figure out a way to fix it by saturday then he has to leave, but the major problem is that we leave for vacation friday. I want so much to keep my bunny but I need help finding out how to correctly potty train him and find a cage that will reduce his odor because I cannot put him outside for fear of flees and predators.

Okay my friend is so cool, she is pretty and she has a great personality. She dresses cool, but people are always saying she smells bad. I mean, I have smelled something before, but it wasnt that bad, like once. Like, she told me that she may have some internal issues, because when she sweats alot, she used to have an odor, thats because maybe her clothes weren’t always that clean, but she thinks she says she changed up alot of stuff, tried different lotions, soaps and deoderants, because she was usuing an orgainic soap that stunk for her skin. It worked well, but she says even though she changed her products people were still sneazing around her and indicating that she was dirty. She says she takes showers twice a day, and she really doesn’t smell bad usually. She just changed her diet, because it was really bad and when she didnt eat she didnt have a great breath. All she ate was Italian foood, cheeses, breads, meats, canned foods, and some fast food. No fruits and vegetables for years. Now, she eats salads, drinks more water, drinks no sugary drinks, and eats fast food once every 2 weeks. Or maybe once a week, and she eats real healthy and wants to get vitamins because she thought she was deficient in like zinc. My question is that does she have health problem, bad hygiene, or is it where she lives that is the problem? Can I talk to a nurse or someone? Who specializes in this? Need HELP!! Thanks so much.

Plot Summary:Porter is a small time but tough criminal, who’s primary gig, is robbery. Now his friend Val Resnick needs $130,000 to pay back a criminal group known as “The Outfit”. He tells Porter about some Asian couriers who carry $300,000, Porter agrees to it on the condition that they split the take. When they hit them, they discover that they only have $140,000, and Resnick says that, that’s what they always carry. He pulls out a gun and shoots Porter in the back and leaves him to die. However, Porter manages to make it to a doctor, and get treated, when he recovers, he sets out to get Resnick and his share $70,000. He begins by approaching an associate of Resnick’s. Porter then seeks out a prostitute named Rosie, whom he knew, she tells him where he can find Resnick, when he does he tells Resnick that he should go to his employers and ask them to give him back $70,000 of the money he gave them, Resnick says that’s impossible but Porter “convinces” him to do it. Resnick then goes to his boss, Mr. Carter, who tells him that it’s in their best interest to help Resnick deal with Porter. Carter orders one of his men to take Porter out but Porter’s just too good for them. Resnick then asks his girlfriend who knows the people whom he and Porter stole the money from, and tells her to tell them where they can find him. When they do they are interrupted by two policemen, but they are crooked who are under the impression that Porter’s going after $200,000-300,000 and are going to get it. Can Porter deal with all these people and still get his money.

This this new book out called The Black Dahlia Files by Don Wolfe. The book says Bugsy Siegal and the mafia was behind the death of Elizabeth Short. And the LAPD covered it all up. I also believe the LAPD covered up the truth about the RFK Assassiantion and probably the truth about who was responsible for Marilyn Monroe’s death. Monroe’s telephone records disappeared. Resolved Question: Fire in the sky? A real alien abduction?
I thought this would be an interesting thing to ask: A movie called "Fire in the Sky" came out in I think the late 80’s. Its based on a true story of a guy who was apparently abducted for several days by aliens. Any decent thoughts and opinions are welcome, but I’m wondering if anybody has any information related to the validity, or lack thereof, to this story. A brief synopsis of the movie is that basically a group of lumber jacks in the mountains (I don’t remember where) were working one night and on the way home they claimed to have seen a large object with lots of glowing lights in the woods. One of the men (I think there were four or five of them) got out of the truck and approached the massive object. His friends were screaming at him to back in the truck and just as he was about to the object struck him down with a beam of light and then another beam lifted his body into the air. He was then taken away by the object – that’s the story the men told police. So the guy who was taken away was presumed dead by the police and they were investigating the case as a homicide, even though the men stuck to their story. Then days later the man who was abducted was found in a bathroom, in a hotel or gas station something like that. He was naked and had wounds consistent with being probed all over his body. He was dehydrated, starved and near death and completely hysterical. After he recovered in the hospital he was plagued by brutal nightmares and hallucinations of alien experimentation. Again, while I’m sure hollywood added their own plot twist, its suppose to be based on a true event.
Just for the record I’m not trying to support the notion that this is a real event or not. I just think its interesting.

A WHAT THE BOOK IS ABOUT’ The Grapes of Wrath is a novel published in 1939 and written by John Steinbeck, who was awarded the Pulitzer Prize and the Nobel Prize for Literature. It is frequently read in American high school and college literature classes. A celebrated Hollywood film version, starring Henry Fonda and directed by John Ford, was made in 1940; however, the endings of the book and the movie differ greatly. Steinbeck wrote The Grapes of Wrath at his home, 16250 Greenwood Lane, in what is now Monte Sereno, California. Set during the Great Depression, the novel focuses on a poor family of sharecroppers, the Joads, driven from their home by drought, economic hardship, and changes in the agriculture industry. In a nearly hopeless situation, they set out for California’s Central Valley along with thousands of other "Okies" in search of land, jobs, and dignity. Plot The narrative begins from Tom Joad’s point of view just after he is paroled from prison for homicide. On his journey home, he meets a now-former preacher, Jim Casy, whom he remembers from his childhood, and the two travel together. When they arrive at his childhood farm home, they find it deserted. Disconcerted and confused, he and Casy go to his Uncle John’s home nearby where he finds his family loading a Hudson truck with what remains of their possessions; the crops were destroyed in the Dust Bowl and as a result, the family had to default on their loans. With their farm repossessed, the Joads seek solace in hope; hope inscribed on the handbills which are distributed everywhere in Oklahoma, describing the beautiful and fruitful country of California and high pay to be had in that state. The Joads, along with Jim Casy, are seduced by this advertising and invest everything they have into the journey. Although leaving Oklahoma would be breaking parole, Tom decides that it is a risk, albeit minimal, that he has to take. While en route, they discover that all of the roads and the highways are saturated with other families who are also making the same trek, ensnared by the same promise. As the Joads continue on their journey and hear many stories from others, some coming from California, they are forced to confront the possibility that their prospects may not be what they hoped. This realization, supported by the deaths of Grandpa and Grandma and the departure of Noah (the eldest Joad son) and Connie (the husband of the pregnant Joad daughter, Rose of Sharon), is forced from their thoughts: they must go on because they have no choice–there is nothing remaining for them in Oklahoma. Upon arrival, they find little hope of finding a decent wage, as there is an oversupply of labor and a lack of rights, and the big corporate farmers are in collusion. The tragedy lies in the simplicity and impossibility of their dream: a house, a family, and a steady job. A gleam of hope is presented at Weedpatch, in one of the clean, utility-supplied camps operated by the Resettlement Administration, a New Deal agency that tried to help the migrants, but there is not enough money and space to care for all of the needy. In response to the exploitation of laborers, the workers begin to join unions. The surviving members of the family unknowingly work as strikebreakers on an orchard involved in a strike that eventually turns violent, killing the preacher Casy and forcing Tom Joad to kill again and become a fugitive. He bids farewell to his mother, promising that no matter where he runs, he will be a tireless advocate for the oppressed. Rose of Sharon’s baby is stillborn; however, Ma Joad remains steadfast and forces the family through the bereavement. In the end, Rose of Sharon commits the only act in the book that is not futile: she breast feeds a starving man, still trying to show hope in humanity after her own negative experience. This final act is said to illustrate the spontaneous mutual sharing that will lead to a new awareness of collective values.

I sure hate myself today. Last night I was up late and turned on the tube… Watched 3/4 of Hollywood Homicide… Now I’m from MN, but I’m not a huge Harnett fan… On the other hand, im a hUUUge Ford fan. The mother and brother of Oscar-winning actress and chart-topping R&B singer Jennifer Hudson have been found shot dead at the family’s Chicago home, and police are looking for her seven-year-old nephew who is missing . Hudson’s personal publicist Lisa Kasteler confirmed the victims were Hudson’s mother, Darnell Donnerson, 57, and her brother, Jason Hudson, 29. The deaths appeared to be the result of a domestic incident, police spokeswoman Monique Bond said. Police were on Friday night talking to "a number of people in custody", said Bond, who declined to elaborate. Neighbours reported hearing gunshots at Donnerson’s home in the gritty Englewood neighbourhood on the city’s South Side between 8 or 9am (local time), but no one raised the alarm until Hudson’s sister Julia returned home from work and made the gruesome discovery around 3pm. Authorities immediately issued an all points bulletin for a missing seven-year-old boy, Julian King. Police said the missing youngster might have been abducted from the home and could be in the company of William Balfour, a suspect in the double homicide, who should be considered armed and dangerous. The bulletin said Balfour, 27, could be driving a white Chevrolet Suburban truck. The truck belonged to Jason Hudson, the slain brother of the singer. Neighbours and news reports identified the boy as the son of Julia Hudson, and Balfour as her estranged husband and the stepfather of King. Balfour is currently on parole after serving six-and-a-half years for attempted murder, and had listed Hudson’s mother’s address as his own within the past year, the celebrity website TMZ said. Tourists also love to drive down Rodeo Drive to go sightseeing or shop at upscale stores like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, and Tiffany & Co., just to name a few. Some people hope to catch a glimpse of someone famous coming out of these stores. On the other hand, there are some people who donвЂ™t understand why someone would want to move or live in Los Angeles. Los Angeles is seen as an over-populated city where natural disasters like earthquakes and wildfires happen frequently. Like many other cities, Los Angeles has its advantages and disadvantages that people enjoy like the wonderful weather, diversity, and job opportunities. There are also many shopping centers like malls and outlets around Los Angeles where retail jobs are available. This makes L.A. a good place not only for students to work and go to school at the same time, but also for people who are looking for part-time job or full-time job. Another advantage of living in Los Angeles is the great weather. People like living in Los Angeles because they can go to the beach and the mountains year round. During the winter it does not get too cold, with temperatures dropping down to about 40 degrees at night and sometimes 80 degrees during the day. For example, people can go to Snow Summit at Big Bear Mountain to play in the snow, go snowboarding or skiing and the next day they can go to the beach. During the summer time it can get pretty hot with temperatures in the mid 90вЂ™s to the low 100вЂ™s. For example, people can go outside to the beach, go to a park to have a picnic or go to water parks like Raging Waters and Hurricane Harbor. Although, due to Los Angeles lack of rain, there are fire-warning alerts throughout the hottest time of the year. The fires can occur along hillsides, mountains, and very dry brush areas where the heat of the sun or a cigarette can ignite a wildfire. Although, one can find oneself getting around L.A. is not always easy. Traffic in and around the city can be a disadvantage. The freeways do not always move as smoothly as they can. Rush hour traffic can be daunting and frustrating especially if one had to drive through it. Los Angeles is home to some of the busiest freeways in the country. With gas prices rising and with no end in sight, people are finding different ways to get from point A to point B. For instance, people are trying to carpool or ride the bus or the Metro in order to get to work and around the city. Some families only drive their cars on the weekends to go on family outings. Another disadvantage of living in Los Angeles is the cost of living. Many people cannot afford to buy a home because the rising housing market prices. For example, a house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms can be very expensive depending on the area. This is why many people cannot afford to buy a house at this time. If they cannot afford to pay for it, the bank takes it back. This is the reason why there are a lot of foreclosed homes because homeowners are not able to pay their mortgage. Rent is also on the rise in L.A. An apartment can rent for a few thousand dollars monthly for a 2 bedroom and 1 bath apartment. Therefore, it is really hard for people to maintain a comfortable living in Los Angeles with the rising cost of living. Finally, the crime rate in Los Angeles is also pretty high. This is true of many cities but Los Angeles is home to many gangs. Gang violence and homicides happen at an alarming rate and unfortunately innocent people are killed because rival gang members shoot at each other. It is not only homicides that occur, but also robbery that happen everyday in the Los Angeles area. Despite all the disadvantages, I continue living in Los Angeles. I like being a part of the melting pot that Los Angeles has to offer. I like having friends of different ethnicities as we go out to different restaurants because I get to taste different foods and learn more about their cultures. I also love the summer weather in Los Angeles because I can go to the beach to play some beach volleyball. Although, I do get frustrated with running into traffic, the cost of living and the crime rate. It helps that I have a strong bond with my family and friends around the Los Angeles area.
